The Battle for Decatur

This takes place on Labor Day weekend and is a reenactment of the Civil War to commemorate the four-day battle that took place in Decatur in October 1864. There are more than 200 actors representing southern and northern forces fighting two battles. There is also a Civil War camp with displays of authentic drills, dress and equipment.

Spirit of America Festival

The Spirit of America Festival takes place on the Fourth of July weekend and it is among the largest free celebrations in Alabama for Independence Day. The events include summertime field competitions, family games, sports tournaments, live entertainment and food and craft vendors. There are also talent shows, beauty pageant, presentation of patriotism awards and fireworks.

Hartselle Depot Days

On the third Saturday in September, you can have a good time celebrating the history of the railroad and the contributions it has made to the area.
